Why do silicone infant spoons retain strange odors?

Why are some silicone baby spoon heads too soft?
Some factorys use overly soft silicone just for a super soft feel,without controlling the right hardness.Also no structural reinforcement,so the spoon head bends easily when feeding,and can’t hold rice paste or liquid baby food well.
Our solution
We keep the spoon head hardness at Shore A 35±5.It is soft enough to protect baby’s gums and won’t hurt their mouth.At the same time,it has good support,does not bend easily,and can hold rice paste,fruit puree and porridge easily,making feeding much smoother.
Users can test the hardness of the spoon with a Shore A durometer.
Why do silicone baby spoons easily turn yellow and get stained by dark baby foods?
Regular silicone has tiny little holes on its surface.When you feed with carrot or pumpkin puree,the color easily seeps in.Low material purity and no anti-stain treatment make the color stick inside the pores.
It’s hard to clean completely,and the spoon turns yellow and looks worn out after using for a while.
Our Solution：We use 99% high-purity food-grade platinum silicone.Its structure is tight with almost no tiny holes.We add special anti-stain formula and do fine matte surface treatment.
